Holiday Greetings!
DEAR ALL!!
I wish you a wonderful Holiday and a HAPPY NEW YEAR 2010!
Thanks for staying with me and continuing to support independent music,
it makes a huge difference! I also want to thank you for the small notes and encouragements
I get, the CD:s sold,the audience coming out to listen, and the generosity when I'm on tour.
2009 has been a year filled to the brim.
Hard work, great fun, exciting new collaborations and things leading forward.
I was in Nashville in June, recording my new album with the great great producer and
musician Will Kimbrough. It was such a pleasure working with him and the great musicians
he put together for the CD, a musical whirlwind that I did not want to get out of.
This album has been named FIREFLIES, after one of the songs, and also after the
magical twilights by the Eastwood Studios in Nashville where the glimmer and glitter of the fireflies
amazed me and enhanced the recordings..I'm sure!
Right now I am waiting for this fantastic album, "alternative country India with a scandinavian twist"
to come home after being pressed and printed. The release is set (for Scandinavia) to February 3rd 2010,
as it looks now.
I can't wait for you to hear it!
It has some wonderful duet's too, with David Olney, and Will Kimbrough, and Swedish star Peter LeMarc.
One of the songs, "STOP", is already on rotation on the Swedish national radio, yeeeeeyyyy!

As for 2009.......
I did some wonderful touring in Norway in October, supported by the Halden AllStars, great fun! and
in Germany/NL in November, partly with great singer- songwriter Markus Rill. I had a cold the whole time...but it worked out... A video is up HERE!
My SMF Living Room shows this year has worked really well, in Visby, Stockholm and Vallingby, with artistslike Tom Kimmel (USA), Sally Barris (USA), Will Kimbrough (USA), Buddy Mondlock (USA), Amber Rubarth (USA), Theresa Andersson (USA) , Simon Lynge (USA/DK),Michael Friedman (CAN), and many more sharing their songs and themselves.

The Sweden Singer Songwriter Festival 2009 was also a big success, much due to the wonderful artists
coming. We had a great line-up with Theresa Andersson, Buford Pope, ABA and Amber Rubarth amongst
others.
For all you songwriters I'd like to recommend the Listening Room International Songwriters Retreats
in general, and specifically the Gotland Retreat, put on MAY 9-16 2010.
We've had some wonderful songwriters participating during the 6 years we've been going, like
Tom Kimmel,Buddy Mondlock, Mikael Rickfors, Henning Kvitnes, Dana Cooper, Rex Foster.

I am also involved in a trio-project, called ABA, and we've had great sucess with our shows, some videos

STOP
Good morning!
Am sitting here fairly early all dressed up to make a musicvideo
with Mats. The snow is whirling down outside and they say dont drive
today...an the song talks about rain on the window...dont know how to
solve that in the video..
Its the song STOP, that is on rotation on Swedish National Radio !! yeyyyy!!! Hurrah!
a song a cowrote with Nashville-inhabitant David Llewellyn, that talks about
just stopping for a moment and really SEE whats around you. And appreciate it.
Its like the movie MATRIX. You know, when time just rolls in slow motion and you
really can follow a movement or an intention.
You talk about what you need to hear yourself.....I am sure the stress I've been
right in the middle of this fall has a lot to do with the cold I've been fighting for
the last 2 months!
Ever since Norway and the wonderful but cold! photosession by the IronMine in Falun with Magda...

FIRFLIES
Dear all...
Today is the day my new album is sent off for printing,
its all very exciting! Yooohoooo!!
The cover and art for the booklet
is soooo beautiful, made by Mark Ingelse and photos taken by
Magdalena Björnsdotter up in the north of Sweden (by an iron mine)
and by Nikka Hellenberg ( on Gotland )
And the songs are wonderful!!

”Stop” är första singeln från Annika Fehlings kommande album ”Fireflies”, som släpps i slutet av januari 2010. Nu playlistad på P4.
”Fireflies” är inspelad och mixad i Nashville med Will Kimbrough (Rodney Crowell, Jimmy Buffett m fl) som producent.
Nashville signalerar ju av naturliga skäl att det handlar om countrymusik, men så är det inte i det här fallet. Visst finns här country- och americanainfluenser, men också väldigt mycket annat. Inte minst har Annika en känsla för catchy poprefränger som sätter sin prägel på låtarna.
Will Kimbrough och alla de andra fantastiska musikerna (Bryan Owings, Fats Kaplin , Tim Marks, Dave Jacques, Paul Griffith) är inte heller de i första hand country.
På ”Fireflies” gästas Annika även av David Olney och Peter LeMarc.

Hälsningar från Winschoten! Idag medverkar jag i en radioshow tillsammans med Markus Rill. Turnén rullar på.....
Ville också passa på att flagga för nästa Living Room som äger rum i Visby den 2 december och i Stockholm den 3 december.
